“I’ve been using my Z-Rig V2 prototype for close to three months now, and I couldn’t be happier with it’s performance. I film a lot of AOTC web edits with my Canon 7D, and the Z-Rig is a godsend. My 7D has a battery grip on it, which immediately ruled out the possibility of using the majority of other handles on the market. However, my camera fits snuggly inside the strong steel box of the Rig. I film a lot of fisheye, which as many action sports filmers know, is mostly done from a low angle. Previously, shooting video at a low angle without any sort of handle on the camera was clumsy and ineffective. Now I just screw the camera to my rig, thread on the top handle, and I’m ready to go. I’m not exactly gentle with my rig either, it’s been tossed around a bit, and dropped pretty heavily- it still works just like the day I got it, no bends, twists, or cracks. I highly recommend this for use in both action sports and documentary work. Definitely get one!”
